If your microphone is greyed out or not recording audio in Agendalink, it usually means microphone access was denied when the browser first asked for permission. Don’t worry – you can fix this in just a few steps.
Chrome (Mac & Windows)
1. Reset microphone permissions
Open Agendalink.
Look at the control sliders icon (to the left of the address bar).
Click it → You’ll see Camera and Microphone permissions.
If the Microphone is set to Blocked, switch it back to Allow.
2. Re-enable microphone in Chrome settings
If the option is greyed out:
Open Chrome menu (three dots in the top-right).
Go to Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings.
Scroll down to Permissions > Microphone.
Find
app.agendalink.comin the list.Change the setting from Blocked → Allow.
Then refresh the page and try recording again.
Safari (Mac)
Safari handles permissions differently.
Open Safari > Settings for app.agendalink.com.
Go to the Websites tab.
Select Microphone in the left sidebar.
Find
app.agendalink.comin the list and set it to Allow.
If it’s set to Deny, change it to Allow.
Then refresh the page.
Why is the microphone dropdown greyed out?
When you first start recording, Chrome and Safari show a popup asking to allow access to your microphone and camera. If you clicked Block / Don’t Allow, the browser saves that choice, which disables the microphone dropdown in Agendalink.
The fix is simply to re-enable permissions following the steps above.
✅ Tip: After changing permissions, always refresh the page before starting a new recording.
